Concept and Idea

For the first topic that will be cover is about the concept and the idea of the upcoming video game. First talking about the concept, basically this game is 2D game and it also simple and flat type of design. Therefore, this video game mostly inspired by Fig.1 below which is Cuphead game. Furthermore, in terms of the art concept mostly got inspired by Fig.1.1 below from YouTube that, shows the quick and easy character game to create, therefore the reason why I choice this kinds of concept art.

Furthermore, Fig.1.2 below shows that the grant chart that I when the planning stage until the post production stage finish. Which can be seen that all the planning stage start around 3rd weeks until 4th weeks of June. Meanwhile, for the production stage it will be around month of July around week 1 until week 2. Therefore, the digitalizing part which is production it will be around August which from week 1 and until finish by arranging all the graphic it according to the plan that will be around week 4 of August.

Title and Storyline

Like mention on the mind map above, the title of the video game called “Kitchen Wars”. Therefore, the Storyline of this video game is will be about, the story about a young scout boy Alex. He is one of the best scout boy that cause him to be one of the leader of young scout boy. In one strange day, when his parents not in home, he went to his kitchen to find something to eat. Suddenly, he heard someone called him that need help from him, after an while he searching for the strange voice he suddenly found an fork lying down under beside the kitchen container. He was in shocked and speechless after looking at what happen to the fork. After a while of confusing, he suddenly want to help the fork by picking it up but some sort of blue energy come around Alex’s body, he was stunned and don’t know what to do. Suddenly, he fainted; after a while he opened his eyes and realise that his body are not the same, that then the fork approach to him and telling that the fork use the magic to shrink him because of the fork and others need helps to defeat the evil wizard that called by spoon. Therefore, Alex’s journey start to begin, where he use the fork magic to defeat all the enemies. When the end is come, he face the magical spoon, that he telling the story about why he become evil wizard, that he stated, he was jealous of the fork because the wizard rarely been used by the owner of the house that include Alex and his family. After a brutal fight between Alex and the spoon, finally the spoon defeated and the fork break out all the spells that create by the spoon before, therefore the story end with all of around his become normal again.

 

 

Levels, Genre and Type of Game

 

Furthermore, in terms of the Levels, this video game will have 5 levels that at the final level will face the “Spoon” itself, that will be explain more about the stages looks like. In addition, for every levels the game will face different kind of enemies according to the stages or levels. Meanwhile, in terms of the genre, this video game will be an adventures type of game with 2D kinda of art.

 

 

Target Audience

 

While, for the target audience, since this game will be an simple game that mostly focusing on children and teenager only which, make sense due to most of them still love cartoon and something that new kinda of game. Which below shows more detail about the game target audience, in terms of :-

Age:

In terms of the target audience for the age, the video game will mostly focusing on kids and teenager categories. This is because of since the game itself more simple and more cartoonish type of games, therefore it more be recommended for the kids and teenagers, and also since around that ages they majority still loves cartoon such as SpongeBob, The Loud House, Fairy Odd Parents and more.

 

 

Gender:

For the gender, since this is little bit childish type of game, there no any specifics gender for this video. Because of even female can also enjoy the game as well male now, and now mostly female love to play any game especially if the video game are cute and amazing. The other reason also because of this game itself have unique and cute style of games as well have action on it. That makes this game can be play by any gender category such as male or female.

 

 

Education:

Meanwhile, for the education part. The video game will be focusing more to Primary and High-Schools students, due to majority of them are kids and teenager. Therefore,  people can easily know and relate what type of categories this game more into in terms of education.  Furthermore, it will waste of time if the game focusing on college students since, most of college student are adult and most of this type of game into into theirs taste or type.

 

Character

Moreover, talking about the character, in this video game it will be have 6 characters, that divided into 4 categories which consists of:-

 

ü Main Character (Protagonist)

ü Support Character (Protagonist)

ü Evil Minions (Antagonist)

ü Boss (Antagonist)

 

Main Character

In terms of the first character, which is Main Character. For this video game the main character is Alex. That mention on the Storyline above. For the backstory of Alex, he is one of the young boys scout that ranked as leader. He type of person is respectful, as well good imagination as well active in any kind of activities. Like shows on Fig.3, shows the sketch of the Alex, like on the image below it shows that Alex character will wear his cap and scout uniform and holding the weapon fork that also an support character in this video game.

On Fig.3 above also shows that Alex, have 3 expression which is the Angry, Hurt and Defeat type of expression, that already label on the image above. Meanwhile, in terms of the movement, its only simple movement, the character only have move forward and backward and jump only. If he move his legs only keep on moving back and forward only while if he jump just simple movement, the character just move up and bounce down. While, for the colour scheme of this main character. That shows on Table 1. below the list down of the character colour.

For the ability, Alex don’t have any ability but the power only come from his weapon fork, that help him to defeat all enemies.

 

Support Character

For the next character will be about the support character inside the game, which is the fork. In short backstory of the fork, that it have own abilities which is blue glow power come out from the head. However, the fork become weaker when the spoon take control all the kitchen that cause the Fork fight the spoon to stop the mind-control to the human. But, sadly, the Fork lose the fight and live under the kitchen container that, the called Alex for helps. Furthermore, Fig.4  shows how the character will looks like and the power produce by the fork. Since, this Character not moving due to it just a weapon that use by Alex to defeat the Spoon.

Like shows also on Fig.4 above, it shows that Alex power when attacking inside the video game, that have Basic Shoot and also 2 Power that the Fork can produce. Meanwhile, in terms of the Fork itself colour, where Table.2 shows the list of the Fork colour.

Evil Minions

For the Third character of the video game will the evil minions. In this game there 3 different minions that mind control by the evil wizard which is the Spoon which are:-

 

ü Kettle

ü Bowl

ü Cup

Kettle

For the Kettle, there no much to tell about this characters, however the ability of this character quite the best. The power of Kettle, that it can produce falls fireballs when, the character blow it. Furthermore, Fig.5 below shows the Kettle looks like and the reaction of it when get hits. But when the character defeat it will disappear with smoke on it that shows the character is defeat. For the colour the colour of Kettle is same like the fork body which is #d7d7d7.

Cup

While for the Cup, this one of interesting character. This is because of even though all of the minions not moving but the power of it quite interesting. Therefore, this Cup it will produce fireball from it own hands. Like shows on Fig.6 below the sketch of the character how it will looks like. In additions, it character also will be disappear with smoke after get defeat by the player. In terms of the colour code of the character on Table.3 below shows the colour of it.

Bowl

For the last minion will be the bowl. This quite of different in terms of the power, the character rather than use fireball this character use cookies inside the bowl-self body. The cookie that the bowl use, will be throw by it . Where, Fig.7 below shows the sketch of the bowl and as well the expression of it. Like another minions, to led the player that this minions is defeat it will be disappear by it own with smoke as well. Meanwhile for the color of this character will be like shows on Table.4 below.

Boss

For the last character on the video game will be the boss of the video game. For the boss, the final boss is the Spoon. The story of this character, is that it become so evil due to of jealously that appear inside it. This is because of the spoon is rarely use inside the house, therefore, it felt that abandoned due to the human action. After a while, being alone because of the jealously inside it, the spoon start to take an revenge on the human due to their action. This is led to the spoon use the darkest spell ever, that can control people and things mindset. By creating it own darkest spells it create an staff that consists of strong power that the spoon took from the fork during the battle that start the wars between them. Therefore, that the short backstory of Spoon why it become so evil and like shows on Fig.8 below the sketch of the spoon will look like. While in terms of the ability, this character have fireball ability that most of the minions use this is shows that, the fireball come from the spoon itself that then given the darkest power to the minions to protect the Spoon.
